The boat has been specifically designed for military
applications. Capable of developing speeds in excess of 60 knots in favourable
sea conditions, and to navigating at sustained speeds in full safety in adverse
weather conditions.
On the forward area of the deck, it is possible to install a conventional
manually operated or gyro stabilized weapon system. The operative quarters are
designed and structured for the installation of optional ballistic panels.
Design concept / role of craft
The AC 1600 Special OPS is designed for coastal and offshore interception,
and direct assault to eliminate threat. The vessel is designed to have superb
stability and sea keeping at high speed. Maximum speed (part load conditions) 60
knots, Cruising speed 33 knots.
Material of construction:
Due to the size and nature of the boat, and in order to guarantee a perfect
finished product in a reasonable amount of time, the construction material
selected for this advanced project is vacuum infused composite utilizing aramid,
carbon and basalt, making the AC 1600 Special OPS an extremely light and strong
vessel.
Hull Shapes and Ergonomics
- The hull has been particularly designed with mathematical simulations and
extrapolation from our own existing life tested hyper ventilated hull shape
originated from offshore racing.
- Particular attention has been given to the internal layout to ensure maximum
comfort for the crew during engagement. Low vibrations and good sea keeping,
enhancing operative efficiency.
Power
plant
The selected power plant is based on twin high output diesel engines, brand and
model to be decided.
Propulsion
The selection of surface propulsion has been motivated by:
- Propulsion efficiency for the designed speeds not achievable by submerged
propellers;
- Extremely superior manoeuvrability in respect to any other drive system, using
the hyperventilated step hull
(Jet drives can be fitted depending on client preference)
Inspection
Throughout construction of the patrol vessel, the end user or purchaser is
welcome to conduct programmed inspection visits,
Background and Delivery
The shipyard has been involved in the construction of aluminium military and
Para-military boats for the past 10 years In particular a series of similar vessels in
the of 12-35 meter size.
Construction time for each vessel is subject to modifications in reference to
previous engagements of the shipyard. In any case this can be discussed during
final negotiation. Optional Equipment
Aside from the construction system and the equipment illustrated above, each
vessel can be fitted with the following optional equipments, which are quoted
separately in the economical proposal:
Ballistic protection for up to 7.62
calibre shot from a distance of 50 meters. (NIJ3) The protection will be fitted
to the cabin/crew sides of the over structure. Together with this package the
front windows of the driving cockpit/ crew compartment will be fitted with shot
proof windows. (Or NIJ3 glass) Rib
A Rib boat with 60 hp out board engine can be placed aft.
Warranty
The craft including all fitted equipment is warranted by builder or equipment
suppliers for a period of 12 months from the date of officially accepting the
craft, while the hull is guaranteed for a period of 24 months from the official
acceptance in. MORE DETAILS, TO SERIOUS PURCHASERS, ON
